A Thoughtful Process, From First Conversation to Final Walkthrough

A successful custom remodel begins with listening and careful planning. We bring the right people together for your project and guide the work with clear communication at every stage.

1. Discover Your Goals

We discuss how you live, what you want to change, your priorities, and your investment and timing expectations. A site visit helps us understand the home and identify questions to explore.

2. Design and Explore Feasibility

For projects that call for it, we work with a professional designer and other specialists to develop the layout, selections, and plans. Design services and their scope are discussed before they begin.

3. Define the Scope and Proposal

We coordinate with trade partners to review the plans and existing conditions, refine the scope, and develop a project-specific proposal. We review the details, allowances, and next steps with you before construction moves forward.

4. Plan and Prepare

With the agreement in place, we coordinate selections, ordering, scheduling, and permits as required. We discuss access, protection, and the practical details of working in your home before construction begins.

5. Build and Communicate

Heritage Homebuilders manages the work and coordinates skilled trade partners through the applicable stages of construction. We keep you informed, coordinate required inspections, and discuss unforeseen conditions or proposed changes as they arise.

6. Walk Through and Finish

As the project nears completion, we review the work with you, address remaining agreed-upon details, and help you understand your finished space.
