Heritage Homebuilders LLC ("Heritage Homebuilders," "we," "us," or "our") builds and remodels homes across Spokane County, Washington and Kootenai County, Idaho. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to heritagehomebuilders.net, our advertising and lead forms on third-party platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, and the information we collect in the course of estimating, contracting, and performing construction work.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you request a consultation, submit a form on our website, complete a lead form in one of our ads, call or text us, or become a client, we collect the information you provide. This typically includes your name, phone number, email address, and the address of the property you want work performed on. During a project it may also include project preferences and selections, photographs of your home, measurements and site conditions, financing or lender contact information you choose to share, insurance information where a claim is involved, and correspondence between us.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit our website we automatically receive your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 5.
Information from third parties. When you submit a lead form inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta provides us the information you submitted, which may be prefilled from your Meta profile. We may also receive information from advertising and analytics platforms, review sites, referral partners, lenders, insurers, and public records such as county parcel and permit databases.
What we do not collect. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We do not sell your information. We do not ask for or store payment card numbers on our website; project payments are handled through separate invoicing and banking channels.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation; to prepare estimates, proposals, contracts, and change orders; to design, permit, schedule, and perform construction work; to order materials and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers; to communicate with you about your project; to invoice and collect payment; to honor warranty obligations; to comply with licensing, lien, building code, and tax requirements; to maintain records of our work; to improve our website and services; and to market our services as described in Sections 3 and 5.
We rely on your consent where required, on the performance of our contract with you, on our legitimate business interests in operating and marketing a construction company, and on compliance with legal obligations.
3. Calls, texts, and email — your consent
This section matters, so we are being specific about it.
When you give us your phone number through our website, a lead form in one of our ads, or any other channel, you are giving us your express written consent to contact you at that number by telephone call and by text message, including through automated dialing technology and prerecorded or artificial voice messages, for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and discussing our construction and remodeling services. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
You can stop this at any time. Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texts. Tell us during any call to be placed on our internal do-not-call list. Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email info@heritagehomebuilders.net. We honor opt-out requests promptly and maintain an internal do-not-call and do-not-text list.
Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an active project — scheduling, deliveries, crew arrival, inspections, invoices, and warranty matters — which are part of performing our contract with you.
4. Photographs, video, and your property
Construction is a visual business, and our portfolio is how prospective clients evaluate our work.
We routinely photograph and video job sites before, during, and after construction for quality control, documentation, warranty records, insurance, training, and marketing. Marketing use includes our website, social media, advertising, and printed materials.
Where a project is at a client's home, we obtain a separate written Photo/Video Release before using images of that project in marketing. That release governs, and you may decline or withdraw it. When we publish project photography we identify projects by general area — for example "a kitchen remodel in Liberty Lake" — and we do not publish street addresses, unit numbers, security system details, or images of client belongings, documents, or people without permission.
If a photograph of your project is already published and you want it removed, email info@heritagehomebuilders.net and we will remove it from channels we control, and request removal from those we do not.
5. Cookies, advertising, and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: to make the site work, to understand how the site is used, and to measure and target advertising.
Essential cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages people visit and where visitors come from. Advertising cookies and pixels — including tags from Google and Meta — let us measure whether an ad led to an inquiry and show our ads to people who have visited our website. This is commonly called retargeting.
Some of this activity may qualify as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain state privacy laws even though we do not sell your information for money.
How to control it. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org. You can adjust ad settings directly with Google at adssettings.google.com and with Meta in your Meta account's Ad Preferences. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of targeted advertising where the law requires it.
6. When we share information
We share information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.
We share with subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners — plumbers, electricians, cabinet and countertop fabricators, delivery services — to the extent needed to perform your project, which typically means your name, project address, contact information, and relevant selections. We share with service providers who operate our business, including website hosting, email, customer and project management, accounting, and advertising platforms. We share with design and permitting authorities, including architects, engineers, and city and county building departments, as required to obtain permits and inspections. We share with lenders, insurers, and title companies where you have asked us to or where a claim or financing requires it.
We may also disclose information to comply with law, subpoenas, or lawful requests; to enforce our contracts; to establish or defend legal claims, including mechanic's lien and warranty matters; to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, in which case we will notify you if your information becomes subject to a materially different policy.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy and as long as the law requires.
Inquiries that do not become projects are generally retained for three years. Client project records — contracts, change orders, plans, permits, inspection records, and project photography — are retained for at least the applicable Washington or Idaho statute of repose for construction defect claims, which is longer than most retention periods and exists to protect both of us if a claim arises years after completion. Financial and tax records are retained per applicable tax law. Marketing contact records are retained until you opt out.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls, encrypted transmission of website form data, and limiting access to those who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by Washington and Idaho law.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; to request correction of inaccurate information; to request deletion, subject to the retention obligations described in Section 7; to opt out of targeted advertising and of any activity considered a sale or share; to withdraw consent to marketing calls, texts, and email; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We will verify your identity — typically by confirming information we already have on file — and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires, generally 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
Washington residents. The Washington My Health My Data Act gives Washington consumers specific rights over consumer health data. We do not seek health information. However, when a client requests accessibility or aging-in-place modifications — grab bars, curbless or roll-in showers, comfort-height fixtures, widened doorways, ramps — the request itself can reveal information about a person's health or mobility. We treat that information as consumer health data. We collect it only to design and build what you asked for, we do not use it for advertising or profiling, we do not sell it, we share it only with the trade partners performing that scope of work, and you may withdraw consent and request deletion by contacting us at the address above.
Idaho residents. We serve Kootenai County and apply the practices in this policy to Idaho clients as well.
10. Third-party links and platforms
Our website links to third-party sites, and we advertise on platforms we do not control, including Facebook, Instagram, and Google. When you interact with our ads or forms on those platforms, the platform's own privacy policy also applies to that interaction. We encourage you to read them. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business, technology, or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make a material change in how we use personal information already collected, we will provide more prominent notice — such as a notice on our website or a direct message — before the change takes effect.
