Crafted to Endure. Designed to Inspire.
Custom Home Builder for the Spokane & Coeur D’Alene Areas
We specialize in building high-performance custom homes that reflect your unique style and are designed to last for generations. If you already have land and plans developed, that’s great! If not, we highly recommend working together as a client / architect / builder team to design and build your dream home and we can help guide you every step of the way with finding land and selecting an architect who can see your vision.
With a strong foundation in craftsmanship, modern building science, and durable materials, we focus on creating homes that are healthier, more comfortable, and more resilient than typical builds—saving you money and headaches over the long term. When we mention building high performance, we don’t necessarily mean luxury, if your budget only allows for a 1500 sq ft home, we can incorporate the same performance features into your home as we would in a 6000 sq ft home.
Some of the key features that come as standard with our homes includes:
Proper moisture management - allow proper drying throughout exterior walls to eliminate the opportunity for mold growth, rot, and associated structural and health problems
Continuous exterior insulation - improved occupant comfort and reduced energy bills!
Low air leakage + filtered conditioned ventilation - improved occupant comfort and reduced energy bills by keeping the air in your home that you paid to heat/cool + only allowing filtered air in the home to reduce allergens and mold!
Hot water recirculation - nearly instant hot water at any fixture in the house + more energy bill savings from less wasted water!
Proper home design and orientation - maximize views while minimizing solar heat gain in the summer and maximizing it in the winter - better comfort and long-term savings!
While we can build on nearly any lot in our region, we specialize in rural and semi-rural construction. Based in Deer Park, WA, we proudly serve Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and the surrounding counties of Spokane, Stevens, Pend Oreille, Kootenai, and Bonner. We're experienced working with both county and municipal building departments and can manage your project wherever it falls within our service area.
At Heritage Homebuilders, we do things differently. While many builders cut corners to maximize short-term profits, we’re committed to building homes that stand the test of time—comfortable, efficient, and durable for years to come.
Our services include:
Custom home design consultation
Full-service construction

After earning a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Eastern Washington University, I commissioned as a Combat Engineer officer in the U.S. Army. There, I gained my initial construction experience—building roads, bridges, airfields, and structures—while stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and Ft. Stewart, GA. Later, I worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Savannah District), contributing to major civil projects such as the $1 billion Savannah Harbor Expansion Project (SHEP).
Following my military service, I returned to my hometown of Spokane, WA, where I worked as a project manager and engineer for a commercial construction product manufacturer. In this role, I developed expertise in modern building science and high-performance construction, helping clients achieve durable, energy-efficient building envelopes on commercial projects. I learned how to apply these same small but extremely important details, which are typically overlooked by most builders, to homes to help ensure they remain safe, healthy, and comfortable for generations.
Frustrated with the poor quality of typical production homes we experienced we lived in during our Army moves, I became passionate about building better homes and applying the same high performance details I was implementing in commercial residential construction. I built our family’s home west of Deer Park using those same advanced building science techniques to ensure long-term comfort, health, and resilience. After completing our home, I soon took on a second home build, which quickly snowballed into founding Heritage Homebuilders.
The Ford Corkscrew Fire—coming within a mile of our home—further expanded my focus on high-performance design to incorporate wildfire-resistance. Today, we implement numerous critical wildfire mitigation strategies into the design of our homes to help offer the best protection possible for your investment.
